If Iran wasn’t run by an Apocalypse death cult [called 12thers] who believe they can “hasten the return of the promised…

Calling Twelver Shi’ism an “apocalyp[tic] death cult” sets the tone of your line of argument doesn’t it?

Your flagrant attempt to coalesce two entirely separate quotes, — the latter I can’t even source — in order to construct a basis for the argument you’ve already formulated (thanks to the media) is an obvious ploy.

The former of your quotes, in context, directly states:

“Without any doubt, the Promised One, who is the ultimate Saviour, will come. The pleasing aroma of justice will permeate the whole world.”

There is no mention of “bathing the world in blood” in any source I know of. Perhaps you could provide me a source?

Secondary, if you knew anything about the Iranian government and its structure, you would know that Ahmadinejad has absolutely no ultimate say in foreign policy: that decision is left to the Supreme Leader facilitated by the aid of the Guardian Council. In other words, Ahmadinejad has no say in causing international chaos for sake of encouraging the revelation of Mahdi.

The constant and consistent pressure on Iran since 1979 has been entirely for oil and regional power. The coup of 1953 says it all: the West wasn’t happy with Iran keeping the oil for herself, so they overthrew the democratically elected government in favour of the Western-backed Shah who was willing to accommodate to the needs of the West.

Let’s look at the aggressive country here:

— US-backed coup d’etat of 1953

— US-backed use of Stuxnet and Flame viruses

— Constant and consistent economic sanctions by the US

— US denial of Iran’s right to a peaceful nuclear program under the NPT

— US warships in the Persian Gulf/Strait of Hormuz

— US funding Iraq to deplete the power of Iran during the Iraq-Iran war which left 500,000 Iranian’s dead.

— US military bases in Afghanistan, Iraq and other region players like Saudi and Israel

Meanwhile we have Iran cooperating within its rights under the NPT;  the initial International Energy Agency Report saying that Iran has no nuclear weapons, or any chance of acquiring them soon; Khamenei saying “”the Islamic Republic has never threatened and will never threaten any country;” Iran offering a ‘Grand Bargain’ in 2005 which the US rejected;  Khamenei’s fatwa against nuclear weapons… I don’t want to go on too much.

The Iranian nuclear program started in the 1950s and so far they have 20% enriched uranium. 90% is necessary for nuclear weapons. The 20% enriched uranium they do have is for medical usage and to create fuel rods for further nuclear activity to avoid the disaster the we are all approaching: running out of oil.

The Iranian nation has never pursued and will never pursue nuclear weapons. There is no doubt that the decision makers in the countries opposing us know well that Iran is not after nuclear weapons because the Islamic Republic, logically, religiously and theoretically, considers the possession of nuclear weapons a grave sin and believes the proliferation of such weapons is senseless, destructive and dangerous.”

Iran is not a threat, the US is a threat.
